Solutions for everyday life
We produce and supply a wide range of biocides, disinfectant products, flame retardants, multi-functional additives and personal care ingredients to varied industries: from construction to newspapers, from high fashion to cosmetics.
As we continue on our sustainability journey, we’re determined to better quantify the direct effects our products have on prolonging life, reducing waste and minimising environmental impact.
We’ve worked hard to develop our comprehensive sustainability strategy to guide our ESG actions for years to come. Built on four key pillars – Planet, People, Products and Governance – it’s informed by a rigorous double materiality assessment.
Our new strategy, rooted in double materiality
Our double materiality approach
We followed a four-step process, informed by guidelines from the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), to complete our double materiality assessment and identify our material impacts, risks and opportunities.

Step 01
We mapped the full value chain to identify ESG impacts, risks and opportunities. Market trends, peer activity and customer expectations were reviewed to guide strategic focus. Alignment with ESG frameworks such as ESRS, SASB, GRI and EcoVadis ensures transparency and accountability.

Step 02
We spoke with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, employees, customers and suppliers. Also engaged users of financial and sustainability disclosures. Their input shaped our materiality assessment and helped prioritise ESG impacts, risks and opportunities.

Step 03
Validated and scored ESG IROs with subject matter experts, using severity and likelihood metrics. Applied our Enterprise Risk Management framework to assess financial impact. Evaluations covered short, medium and long-term horizons.

Step 04
Prioritised material topics and reviewed them with key stakeholders to set clear sustainability targets. Strong governance ensures the strategy is embedded across the business. It will guide long-term improvements to our operations and the products we deliver.
