THOR Group is proud to announce that its site in Speyer, Germany recently attained ISO 45001, the internationally recognised standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management Systems.
As set out in THOR’s 2025 Sustainability Report, it was our goal to ensure that all of THOR’s major manufacturing sites around the world held the ISO 45001 accreditation by the end of 2025, which has since been accomplished. This achievement is a significant milestone and a clear indication of our ongoing commitment to safety, health, and responsibility within the company.
An Integrated Management System That Continues to Grow
With ISO 45001, THOR GmbH has expanded its existing integrated management system, which already includes the ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 50001 (Energy) standards. Together, these standards create a strong foundation for transparent processes, sustainable practices, and efficient operations across all areas of the company.
Martin Wenderoth, Managing Director of THOR GmbH, said: “While this achievement is undoubtedly the result of a joint team effort across all areas, departments, and individuals involved, I would like to express particular appreciation to our Management System Team. Particularly our colleagues Carmen Fehl and Torsten Wehe, for their thorough planning and coordination of the audit, as well as for supporting all departments in preparing the necessary documentation.
“I would also like to acknowledge the HSE Team as the key process owners, whose dedication and expertise were central to meeting the requirements of the standard.”
More safety, more quality, more responsibility
Each ISO certification from our THOR businesses around the world represents our ongoing commitment to:
Protecting our employees,

Together with best practices from Responsible Care and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), they support our ESG strategy in which people, planet, products, and our corporate governance form the cornerstones of our actions.
