Overview

Acticide® MCL 2 offers outstanding antimicrobial properties for various aqueous-based raw materials, intermediates, and end-use products.

The active ingredients, a reaction mass of 5-Chloro-2-methyl-1,2-thiazol-3(2H)-one (CIT) & 2-Methyl-1,2-thiazol-3(2H)-one (MIT) in a 3:1 ratio, along with 2-Methyl-1,2-thiazol-3(2H)-one (MIT) and 2-Bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol (Bronopol), are stable in acidic to low alkaline environments, ensuring no gaps in efficacy against common industrial spoilage organisms. The unique stabilizing system, based on monovalent salts, further boosts the product's performance.

Moreover, Acticide® MCL 2 permits the addition of MIT below the Specific Concentration Limit (SCL) which alongside Bronopol enhances protection against Pseudomonas species.
