Aflammit® PPN 978

Aflammit® PPN 978 is a multi-component blend, based on ammonium polyphosphate. It is a fine white powder and a ready-to-use intumescent system.

Overview

Aflammit® PPN 978 is a high efficient halogen-free flame retardant, due to its intumescent properties. It is a ready-to-use blend, with no need for further synergist.

It boasts very good performance in polyolefins and thermoplastic elastomers, with a higher thermal stability than conventional systems based on ammonium polyphosphate. Stable up to 250-260°C.

Aflammit® PPN 978 offers a low smoke density and smoke toxicity, and is not corrosive.

Mainly suitable for UL 94 V-0 (or 5V) requirements
